We will open again on Wednesday 1 September Community Notice Board: Do you have 'stuff' which could do with a new home? Or do you have time or a talent you could share? Please feel free to add a notice to the board in the coffee bar Book Reading Group: Our next book will be Christianity Rediscovered by Vincent Donovan. We shall be meeting to discuss it on Friday 8 October so you’ve got plenty of time to read it! If you’ve not been to the group before, why not give us a try, we’re not intellectual, just enjoy a good chat and a glass of something... Talk to Juli if you’d like to know more
'Ride and Stride': This sponsored event for the Hampshire Historic Churches Trust takes place on Saturday 11 September. For more details and/or a sponsor form, see Graham Rolfe. Methodist Fund for World Mission (MMS) Boxholders are invited to bring their boxes to Alfred Witham for emptying next Sunday August 1st or on August 8th.
FAREWELLS: At the end of August the Revds Chris and Margaret Jones leave their ministry with this church and throughout the circuit. Their contribution to the wellbeing of all the churches in the circuit has been immense and much appreciated as has been the pastoral charge of Margaret of this church over the last year. The Circuit will also be saying farewell to Revd Kate Cambridge who arrived among us as a probationer minister, has contributed significantly to the life and wellbeing of Wesley Church and now leaves us as a presbyter. All the churches in the circuit have much appreciated her ministry, and have had the great pleasure of celebrating with Kate her marriage to Geoffrey and the birth of Benjamin and Rebecca. We will miss all of them. There will be opportunity of expressing our thanks to each of them at the Circuit Service on 22 August at 6.30 pm.
