Annual General Meeting Friday 16 March at The United Church. The meeting will start at 12 noon and will consist of a short meeting, followed by an informal lunch. Deputy Mayor, Cllr Frank Pearson will be attending and the focus for the meeting will be a celebration of the work of our ‘Fit for Life’ project.
Our ‘Fit for Life’ exercisescheme is aimed at encouraging those who have poor mobility or balance problems to continue exercising after being discharged from the RHCH Falls Clinic. We currently offer three services under the ‘Fit for Life’ programme: a weekly short walking group, a weekly exercise group called ‘Exercise Plus’ and an at home one-to-one exercise programme.
Please remember the Scheme in your prayers. This is a difficult time for many of our Members who are adversely affected by public sector cuts and by bus service reductions. We are receiving an increasing number of requests for transport - if you know of anyone who could help with this, regularly or occasionally, please consider suggesting they contact the Scheme to see if they can help.
Best wishes to you all,
Claire Morgan, Live at Home Manager
