There is a circuit holiday club called ‘On
your Marks’ for year 1 upwards being held at Wesley with the theme of the Olympics.
The club runs from Thursday 16 February to Saturday 18 February, 10 am to 12.15 pm, and
the cost is £2 per day. The club will
have a programme of various zones: Challenge
X, Ready Steady Cook, On Your Marks, Olympic Kit, Going for Gold, Olympic Village
and Pit Stop. There will be crafts, food, games and plenty of fun to be had by
all.
Due to the popularity of the club you need to pre-book on a first come first served basis. A booking form (available from Sam ) is valid for only one person. For multiple bookings make sure that you request the right number of forms. We will confirm your place and let you know what team you are on.
We need your HELP
Our circuit youth club on the first and third Friday of every month, 7 pm to 9 pm at Wesley, has become popular with between 13 to 20 young people attending. In December we took a group of 18 to Quasar for a great night of lazer quest.
The problem we are facing is that without more volunteers to help we are in danger of having to close the club. If you could spare one Friday a month or even one Friday every two months that would help. The club is an open youth club in which the young people really do things themselves, they organise themselves and keep themselves entertained.
Volunteers like to be at the club by 6.45 pm and finish at about 9.15 pm. Some of the expectations of volunteers include looking after the tuck shop and walking around the building just to make sure everyone is ok. I can offer training to anyone who is interested but feels they need some guidance.

Many thanks, Sam Barnes, Circuit Youth Worker
