| EASTER MONDAY WALK
Monday 24 March, starting at 10.00am After the excitement of the Passion and Easter, here is a chance to unwind and meander gently over Hampshire downland, enjoying good company, conversation and chocolate for a few hours. Meet at 10.00am at the Lawsons’ – 19 Colley Close, Winchester SO23 - for a walk to South Wonston, mainly across fields, tracks and a disused railway track. (Parking is generally not a problem in Colley Close, but please share cars if you can.) En route we will pick up anyone joining at the Cooks’ (107 Springvale Road). At South Wonston we can meet anyone wishing to join the walk at the South Wonston Recreation Ground. Anne and Peter Bray (19 Wrights Close, South Wonston) have kindly said that we may use their garden for a picnic (and their house for a loo stop). After lunch we will return by a different route, either over the fields and past Worthy Down army camp, or using a slightly longer route on tracks and paths, setting off in the direction of Crawley and coming back via Littleton before we reach Crawley. I hope that this walk has something for everyone and that parts will be manageable for young and old alike, even if they only want to join us to play on the swings at South Wonston or admire the view from the Brays’ garden. Keen walkers might cover 10 miles. Keep in touch with the walkers by phone and dip in and out of the walk as you choose. Please sign up on the notice board.
